.ISSUE! , a forum where experienced veterans and budding youngsters come together to express their ideas, speak their minds and to challenge their views, on most pertinent issues that plague our society. This time, ISSUE! In association with esSENSE club goes with the theme “Nationalism v/s Patriotism ”. Patriotism is undergoing a perceptible change. The latest trend, in India to be precise, is to proclaim the love for the country on social media platforms and harassing all those who seem to have a different opinion. Issues like the JNU, imposing of the National anthem during screening of films, banning of Pakistani artists and boycotting Chinese goods etc are very proof that there is a high level of intolerance building up in this nation. On these grounds, this edition of .issue! will be a forum discussing the vast misinterpretation of the strikingly similar but surprisingly different words “Patriotism inching close to Nationalism”.
