Mudiyettu - Folk Festival

Sacred Heart college is all set to provide an outstanding stage for Mudiyettu one of the intangible heritage art identified by UNESCO, tracing the cultural roots of Kerala.
“Mudiyettu” will be performed by Ms. Bindu, one of the artists who dedicates her entire life to this art form. Almost 15 artists will perform with her. Mudiyettu is a traditional ritual theatre and folk dance drama from Kerala that enacts the mythological tale of a battle between the goddess Kali and the demon Darika.
Genderally Speaking - A National initiative for redefining gender and its issues in the present scenario in association with Kerala Folklore Akademi, UNICEF, Kochi Muziris Biennale and Cochin Corporation. The folk fest will be inaugurated by Actress Rima Kallingal, at 5pm , in the newly built Amphitheatre, SH school of communication campus.
