Kalamasssery 

Kalamassery, the fast paced industrial area within the city is one of the six stations following a theme. This one follows the theme of the Western Ghats with greenery and monsoon motifs. 

The Length

Phase 1 of KMRL cover 25.6 Km and starts at Aluva and ends at Petta

Multi-model transportation system

KMRL has an integrated system that includes a network of buses, taxis, boats, non-motorized transport and the metro. These feeder networks aim to wean the public from using private transportation and to use public transportation instead.

Themes

In addition to CUSAT and Kalamassery, the Aluva station is themed after the beauty of the state, while Changampuzha Park is themed after the rich and traditional art forms of the state.The metro station at Edapally will follow the theme of spice route, Kaloor station will showcase the sports heritage of the state and finally, the station at M.G.Road will focus on the history of Kochi itself.

CUSAT 

The 7th station in Kochi Metro line, the CUSAT station follows the theme of Maritime History of Kerala in honor of the city’s history with voyagers and explorers who have graced its shores. 

Fare Collection

The fare ranges from Rs. 15 to Rs.30 and the fare collection is automated with the help of a single card that can be used for multiple purposes.

Capacity

The Metro train can carry 975 passengers at a time, with eight standee passengers per square meter and seating 140
