Manjappada gives a huge welcome surprise for the latest member of Kerala Blasters FC, Dimitar Berbatov

The Manjappada, the yellow army of the Kerala Blasters FC showed what football meant to Keralites as the Manjappada went to the airport to welcome Dimitar Berbatov the latest member of Kerala Blaster FC.  The Kochi International airport was filled with yellow jerseys by 1.15 am as the Manjappada made sure they give Dimitar the perfect homecoming welcome regardless the time.

With over a hundred of Kerala Blasters Fans seen at the airport, the Manjappada proved why the fans at the Kerala is named as one of the top home ground support team in India. From creating patterns and waves with their mobile phone torches and yellow boards and the constant cheers for the entire game.

Kerala is a place where the love for football is much greater than cricket and the ironic thing about this is that the team of Kerala Blaster being owned the God of Cricket himself, Sachin Tendulkar. The electricity in the crowd when the blasters are playing at their own ground is something even make the commentators run out for words.

The football fans at Kerala coming in as big yellow wave pouring into the Kochi Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium is always a great sight to watch.  During the last years final between Kerala and Kolkata, the electronic shop vendors stayed up beyond their usual closing time, so that the people can view the match from the streets. Kerala’s love for football can never be replaced or compared with any others because there is only one yellow army and that is God's’ own Manjappada.
