Shashi Tharoor made it into the list of  victims of auto-correct recently through one of his tweets

We all love the auto-correct option on our mobile phones and believe me when I say most of us rely on auto-correct when we type out a text. But there is always that moment when the auto- correct will turn into a disaster and make our sentences entirely senseless. The latest incident happened with Shashi Tharoor, the man who knows his vocabulary has us wielding our dictionaries to understand what he is saying . Shashi Tharoor tweeted about his opinion about the controversies surrounding the upcoming movie ‘Padmavati’.

Shashi Tharoor made the internet search engines run wild when he used the words “Exasperating farrago of distortions” in a tweet. This incident has caused the public to go after every unusual word Tharoor uses in his tweets and comments and finding out what they meant and adding them to their vocabulary.

Here is what Shashi Tharoor tweeted recently  that made all these hubbubs

Agree totally. The #Padmavati controversy is an opportunity to focus on the conditions of Rajasthani women today ¬ just of queens six centuries ago. Rajasthan’s female literacy among lowest. Education more important thang Hoog hats https://t.co/82rvGmkfwO

Well, these words made the search engines a run for the money when some people were adamant in finding out what these words meant and it was only after a while that Tharoor realised the incident and claimed it was the works of the treacherous auto-correct.

Just realised that dreaded autocorrect has changed “than goonghats” to “ thang hoong hats”. Apologies. When I hit “tweet” I was still seeing the correct words I’d typed https://t.co/aQzEGfBuJq

Here are some of the tweets made by his followers after Tharoor realized and confirmed it was the auto correct that changed "t han goonhats " to " thang hoong hats"

I googled the words n was trying to make sense out of them

Hoong : Boy's name meaning, origin, and popularity

Thang: non-standard spelling of thing representing Southern US pronunciation, typically used to denote a feeling or tendency.
