“Growing up in Kochi is a feeling like none other and I am glad and happy that I got the opportunity to spend my childhood in here”, said Pramod Shankar, the stand-up comedian with a big smile. He was performing at the Ledhi Art Cafe on September 15.

When asked about how he finalises his script and his narration style, he said, “I always carry a notebook with me and I scribble down little things I find interesting.” For his performance for the night, he focused on how it was like growing up in Kochi during his childhood and “those little and big mischievous things we did when we were kids”.

Pramod’s narrating style is different from the usual stand-up comedy acts as he doesn’t use any curse words. Also. as the performance was held in a cafe, with the audience being seated right next to the artist, it felt like someone narrating a story which all of us who were the audience could relate to.
