A competitive tournament with 48 teams from Infopark.

We are familiar with the phrase; all work and no play possibly makes Jack a dull boy. So the techies at Infopark decided to go all out and turn to the pitch. Following its success last year, the Infopark Cricket Tournament is back with a bang. With 48 teams participating, the curtain has been raised for a month of cheer and sportsman spirit. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Hrishikesh Nair, CEO of Infopark, on 17th October at the CUSAT cricket ground. The season is spread over 80 matches spread over 14 days (Saturdays and Sundays). The tournament is an occasion for companies in Infopark to showcase their cricketing talents. The tournament will be played till the 29th of November and boasts a cash award of one lakh!
The tournament is being presented by Calpine Group in association with Infopark. Calicut Beach Hotel is the Gold sponsor of the tournament, while Renai Medicity is the silver sponsor. UVJ Technologies, Suyati, Claysys and Cabot Technology are the co-organisers of the tournament. NGA HR was the champion last year, where they beat TCS in the finals. The former will be defending their trophy against WtzupCity.com/FEATURE the white donned players of the other 47 teams, who are confident and ready to play this year.The tournament is expected to draw a huge crowd this time around. Infoparkians are getting ready for some tough, competitive cricket matches between the companies.
The matches will start at 8 am and will be wrapped up by 5.30 pm. Each game will be for one and half hours, with matches being played back to back. Twelve teams will be playing in a day which means that there will be six matches to be enjoyed at the CUSAT cricket ground in the University campus. There will be sixteen pools of three teams each that will be vying for the big cash prize of one lakh. For the teams it is not just about the prize but playing for the love of the game. See the techies from international companies such as E&Y, Xerox, Wipro and TCS go head to head with techies from region based companies. Everyone from Calpine, UST Global, Suyati, Claysys and more are all kitted out and ready. e prepared for some stellar sixes, fantastic fours, wicked wickets and fabulous fielding from these Information Technology professionals.The battle is on and so head to Thrikkakara to cheer your favorites!
