The audience who attended the Paul and Pearle show at JtPac on August 12, was in for a session on self-awareness. Conducted by popular television anchor and actress Pearle Maaney and her father Dr. Maaney Paul, they made the gathering realize that it is best to be yourself because there is no one like you. The speakers made them recognize that they can accomplish the most difficult tasks with ease if they put their mind and soul into it.

“When I first appeared on TV as an anchor, not everyone liked my attire and style. I am an adventurous girl by nature and I love taking solo rides on my bike. I never changed myself to make others like me. All that mattered was whether I loved myself or not. Later, people started accepting me as I am and it's all because I stayed true to myself and never changed for others approval,”

said Pearle, who is known for her bubbly nature.

Dr. Paul is a man of compassion, laughter, style, and passion. His session was intermingled with elements of humor. He said,

“When you have a moment of laughter and a message encoded in it, you will never get bored and you will never forget the points made during the session,”

The vibrant energy of the father-daughter showed no signs of fatigue throughout as the duo had exceeded the four-hour time slot that the talk was scheduled for. At the end of the talk, some of the attendees spoke about how the session had instilled in them the confidence to do a particular thing they feared or were confused about, like getting on the stage for the first time and talking in front of a huge crowd.

When asked about the future plans of the show, Pearle said,

“We are planning to include more motivational speakers and also conduct shows abroad. The major advantage of this show is that we don’t need a big crew because there is no costume change or many artistes. Now it’s just two of us.”

On what makes the show different from other motivational talks, she said,

“We try to connect with people in a different manner, than the usual way, and they respond to it. The number of testimonials we received is just a proof of that. We have also included a greet and meet session where people can meet and chat with us giving their feedback directly to us right after the show. We keep their contacts and we always keep in touch with them. We never lose that relationship with them even after they leave the auditorium.”
