The evergreen city of India beckons me of prosperity, harmony and history. The riches and glory of my city is not because of its ancient history that isdating back to 1000 BCE. It’s also not because of the prestigious Padmanabhaswamy Temple or Museum, but the tranquility between the people, the culture and the aspiring youth.

As I type out the memoir on this page, my heart goes out to my hometown. A voyage from Bangalore to Trivandrum… My train of thoughts reels from Bangalore to Trivandrum in a wink of an eye. Memories are an individual’s private library. All of us are a slave of those private libraries. I reckon those memories are what I am made of. I am beguiled by the shore of dreams. Kovalam is a dream destiny to many. Why do I feel so? Each time when I step on to the shore of Shankumukam Beach and Kovalam, the dusk that welcomes the night for another dawn passes by in a drastic manner without letting us know that the time is actually reeling. My childhood was all about dreams. I dreamed about many a thing. I achieved all of them by the grace of almighty. But I do miss the shores of harmony. For all the time spent in this garden city, my heart longed to be in my hometown, feeling the summer rain, the mighty sky that lure many drifters to paint a tale. The pages from the diary ring a bell on the days I worked in Technopark. I was there for only a year. In the course of my adorned career, I keep that year above all. The work culture, professionalism, dedication is unmatched to any. I remember the busy evenings over a cup of coffee with my friends. I do not miss them, because we are always in touch. I wait for someone to visit me from Trivandrum. I love to hear about the place, about my friends, their life and all that I miss about the place. I do miss the place, yes.

As one of my friends at work once told me, life is not all about work, you need moments to remember and enjoy all that’s beautiful in life. I myself believe that we live only once and we have to do all we can to fulfill all our dreams. My dreams may be on its track, but my heart goes out to my city, my Trivandrum.
